Aquatics Director

 

General Responsibilities

The Aquatics Director shall be a certified Lifeguard shall be responsible for the supervision of all pool and waterfront activities and other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Assistant Director.

 

Specific Responsibilities

Must be at least 21 years old . Currently certified in CPR and physically able to act quickly in emergencies, effectively communicate and clearly understand oral and written communications. Possess superb leadership and managerial capabilities and have a high degree of personal integrity and dependability.

 

  • Supervise, train, and motivate the program staff in all aquatic activities.
  • Offer a quality aquatics program
  • The maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and use of all aquatic equipment, and ALL first aid kits at camp
  • Set-up, and takedown, of all waterfront facilities.
  • Classify all campers according to their swimming ability during check-in and as needed throughout the camp period by overseeing and participating in swim tests
  • Submit a complete inventory of all on-hand aquatics material and equipment, to include the serviceable condition of each and recommendations for replacements and those supplies needed for next years summer camp operation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

The Aquatics Director shall have all of the responsibilities of the Life Guards, and be responsible for the maintenance of all water front activities at LSCA:  Pool, Paddling, Waterslide
