2021 Summer COVID Policy
Before arrival to LSCA:
- Campers will be asked to monitor their temperatures, social interactions, and general health in the two weeks leading up to camp session.
- All campers will sign a waiver regarding presence of COVID symptoms or exposure in the two weeks leading up to camp session.
Upon arrival to LSCA:
- Parents/Guardians will stay in vehicle throughout drop-off procedure.
- Temperatures will be taken of each camper at check-in by an LSCA staff member wearing gloves.
- Masks will be required by all campers, staff members, and volunteers.
Camper to Camper Interactions:
- Campers will be placed in family groups / teams based on their room assignments. Two family groups / teams will be able to participate in activities together throughout the camp session. This will be no greater than 28 other campers, abiding by the DCEO guidelines.
- At certain times when groups of 28 are gathered in one outdoor space they will be at least 30 feet apart.
- When social distancing of 6 feet cannot be maintained masks will be required.
General Camp COVID Precautions:
- Cleaning / sanitizing of commonly touched / utilized surfaces will be done often.
- Hand sanitizer will always be available.
In the Dorms:
- Each room will have a limited number of campers with beds appropriately spaced apart.
- Campers will only share bathrooms with other campers in their designated groups.
- When walking in the hallways wearing masks will be required.
- Bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected twice a day.
Mealtimes:
- Designated camper groups of 28 will take turns eating meals inside / outside.
- All food / drink items from the canteen will be prepared and prepackaged based off DCEO food preparation guidelines.
- Hand sanitizer will always be available.
Checkout:
- Parents / Guardians / Authorized Pickups will stay in vehicle throughout checkout procedure. Have ID ready to go.
- Masks will be required by all campers, staff members, and volunteers.
