COVID 19 Response

***LSCA 5/1/20 SUMMER CAMP UPDATE***

The leadership of LSCA wants nothing more than to continue the vision set before us in 1939. The management and the board have spent hours reading information, seeking guidance, and praying. The campers’ safety is always at the forefront of our programming. With this in mind, we are suspending and rescheduling all of June summer camp programming.

Our hope is that the limitations and restrictions regarding social distancing and masks and gathering sizes will be loosened enough by July, that we will be able to run a few weeks of camp. There will be extra precautionary measures that we will take to ensure the well-being of our campers and volunteers. There will be temperature checks at check in and each day. Staff will be trained in additional cleaning measures. Hand washing will be a scheduled activity, and there will be hand sanitizer available throughout the camp. During these 3 weeks, we will program as many sessions as possible. The age groups will be combined a little differently, but it will still be the same amazing summer experience.

If you have already registered for camp, your camper will be transferred to the appropriate rescheduled session. If this does not fit into your schedule, please call the office. Also, you can expect a letter from the camp, providing more detail.

Registration and the updated schedule will be available on Wednesday, May 6.

Thank you so much for your patience. We are praying for our campers and deans and faculty. We long for this place to be filled with people once again.
